ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ College London Permanent Art Collection

New Acquisition

ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ is excited to announce that artist Sokari Douglas Camp has generously donated her work, School Run (1991) to The ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ College Permanent Art Collection. Sokari has long been connected to ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ,  and lives locally near to the Waterloo Centre.  We were delighted to feature her work in ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Gallery’s 2023 exhibition, Embodied.

School Run depicts a mother driving her child to school, a simple yet powerful everyday moment of life.  The large scale sculpture is made by hand in steel.

Sokari’s sculpture will be unveiled in June at the college’s North Kensington Centre for Skills in Wornington Road, W10.

The work will enhance the college’s artistic environment, creating an inspiring space for both students and the local community. We look forward to welcoming you to experience School Run in person!
